My name is Karim Derbas, and I am a passionate English language teacher and instructor based in Amman, Jordan. I am a senior with an (A+) GPA in English Literature from Applied Science University (ASU).
With three years of experience in teaching, tutoring, and guiding students of all levels, I have helped many achieve fluency and confidence in English. My goal is to make learning engaging and effective, tailoring my approach to meet the unique needs of each students.

I was a member of the consultation team for the Hult Prize at my university. I helped participants refine their ideas and align them with the competition's goals. I also contributed to increasing its popularity in Jordan by promoting it and encouraging more students to get involved in social entrepreneurship.


I earned my CELTA certificate from International House in Amman, Jordan, after completing an intensive 120-hour course focused on English language teaching. The program equipped me with practical teaching skills, including lesson planning, classroom management, and effective communication techniques.

Through hands-on teaching practice and detailed feedback from experienced trainers, I gained valuable experience in delivering engaging lessons to diverse groups of learners. This certification has significantly enhanced my ability to teach English with confidence and professionalism.
